PF delegates demand Bolsonaro and mark demonstration for readjustment

by

Federal Police delegates decided, in an assembly held this Tuesday (19), that they will hold a demonstration on the 28th against the Jair Bolsonaro government amid the impasse over the salary readjustment. Other police associations will also hold a demonstration on the 28th.

The ADPF (National Association of Federal Police Delegates) states, in a statement, that the category’s frustration increased after the news of a linear readjustment of 5% for the entire civil service.

The entity also uses a threatening tone to express dissatisfaction with the use of public security as a government flag.

“If the President of the Republic fails to comply with the public commitment he has made several times, the police will not remain inert in the face of the use of public security appreciation and the excellent image of the Federal Police as an advertising and political marketing tool”, says the note.

Other measures were defined in the assembly, such as the recommendation that no delegate travel on missions without prior payment of the per diems and also a standard operation schedule in administrative activities.

Bolsonaro’s relationship with police officers has not gone well for months. One of the main bases of support in the president’s campaign, the category complains of defeats suffered during the current government.

They list among the losses the increase in the contribution rate defined by the Social Security reform and the Emergency PEC, approved in March 2021, which provides for a trigger for a salary freeze and a ban on career progression and new hires whenever there is a state decree. disaster or when the ratio between current expenses and current income reaches 95%.

Last year, police representatives called Bolsonaro a traitor and said they only took a beating from the government.

The federal police’s plea is for a restructuring of the PF’s internal careers, which would generate an increase in civil servants’ salaries. A plan was even sent by the Ministry of Justice to the Ministry of Economy, but it was blocked. The amount of R$ 1.7 billion was reserved in the Budget to, supposedly, be used to increase the number of police officers.

The category complains that the government has repeatedly failed to fulfill its promises.
