The INSS (Instituto Nacional do Seguro Social) pays, as of this Monday (2), the last batch of the revision of article 29, also known as revision of aids, for a total of 10,491 beneficiaries.
The money will be released between May 2nd and 7th, according to the end of the benefit (without considering the digit).
See the payment schedule:
End of benefit | deposit date |
1 and 6 | May 02 |
2 and 7 | 03/May |
3 and 8 | May 4th |
4 and 9 | May 5th |
5 and 0 | 06/May |
According to the INSS, the insured persons included in this lot will be able to withdraw the amounts in the same bank where they received the benefit calculated with error.
Between May 2 and 6, the INSS also pays the first installment of the 13th for policyholders who receive benefits above the minimum wage (R$ 1,212), in addition to making the monthly deposit of retirement, pensions, aid and other benefits. The 13th of the INSS will inject more than R$ 56.7 billion into the economy: R$ 28.3 billion referring to the advance of the first installment and another R$ 28.3 billion of the second installment.
The consultation to find out if you will receive and the amount that will be paid can be done by phone 135 or by Meu INSS (website or app). The agency informed that consultations could be made from the end of April, but did not detail whether the extracts are already available to all policyholders.

The amounts will be released to policyholders who received disability benefits (common illness and accident benefits, death pensions derived from these benefits and disability retirements)
In 2012, they needed to meet the requirements below:
- Be up to 45 years old in April
- No longer receive the benefit calculated with error
- Be entitled to arrears from BRL 6,000.01
Heirs of these policyholders are also entitled.
Action forced INSS to pay review without the insured’s request
This is the last batch of the payment schedule defined after an agreement signed between the institute, the Federal Public Ministry and the National Union of Retirees, in 2012, ten years ago. At the time, after a public civil action, the INSS had to stipulate a calendar with annual installments of arrears payments, which would end in 2022. Payments were made following the order of priority defined in the public civil action. The first batch was released in 2013 for beneficiaries aged 60 and over and with active benefits.
This review is due because, between 2002 and 2009, workers had sick pay and disability pensions calculated with 100% of contributions, but the correct thing, at the time, would be to have discarded the lowest 20% to define the value of the average salary. The disposal of the smallest contributions is among the rules that ceased to exist after the pension reform, that is, for benefits granted from November 13, 2019.
