by

São Paulo

Pharmacy giant CVS announced this Thursday (18) that it plans to close around 900 units in the United States over the next three years.

The company says it will focus its efforts on digital growth and the transformation of its stores.

CVS says it wants to increase interaction with consumers through websites that offer primary care services and traditional pharmacies with a greater variety of products. The company says it has seen changes in consumer buying patterns.

The network promises to make an effort to relocate professionals from stores affected by the changes, expected to start in the second quarter of 2022.
