Panel SA: Felipe Miranda, from Empiricus, and Luciano Bivar meet to discuss a government plan

by

Seeking to reinforce the tone of liberal convictions in his pre-candidacy for the Planalto, Luciano Bivar, president of União Brasil, will have dinner this Friday (13th) with Felipe Miranda, CEO of Empiricus, a company of the BTG group.

The pair had already met at a company event a few months ago, and expectations were raised that Miranda would collaborate with the development of Bivar’s government plan.

In addition to defending the liberal agenda in the economy, the presence of Miranda, who is about 40 years younger than Bivar, could help to soften the candidate’s conservative mark, according to those who follow their approach.

The lack of belief in the third way is another point of congruence in the pair.

Initially, União Brasil discussed with the PSDB and MDB the possibility of the acronyms coming together around a single name to compete with Lula and Bolsonaro, but Bivar announced this month that the party will have a thoroughbred ticket, with a candidate for vice president same party.
