Johnny Depp x Amber Heard: From intimate search to severed finger, see the accusations

The legal battle between Johnny Depp, 58, and ex-wife Amber Heard, 36, enters the final stretch with the jury hearing the arguments this Friday (27). But Judge Penney Azcarate said the verdict in the defamation trial, which began April 11, will not be handed down until next week, according to Deadline.

In more than six weeks of the trial broadcast on TV, the defenses of the two actors exposed unusual accusations from both sides in a court in Virginia, in the United States. The mutual accusations range from faeces in the bed to the intimate search of the actress made by Depp in search of drugs to photos of a severed finger of the actor.

In court, Depp said a fight with his ex-wife left him with a severed fingertip during a trip to Australia to film “Pirates of the Caribbean” in 2015. He said she threw two bottles of vodka at him. and one of them caused the wound. “I was looking at my bones coming out,” said Depp, who showed photos of the severed finger to the jury. Heard denied the assault.

In another statement, Depp reported that his ex-wife or a friend of hers defecated in his bed, which led to the actor filing for divorce. “I thought it was a bizarre and strangely appropriate end to the relationship,” the actor said. Heard took responsibility and said that the poop was a joke.

On another occasion, Depp couldn’t stop laughing in court at the response of his bodyguard, Malcolm Connolly, to the question asked by Heard’s lawyer about him having seen the actor urinating in the lobby of the house the couple had rented in Australia, in 2015.

“Sir, Depp took his penis out, didn’t he?” the lawyer asked. “I think I would remember seeing Mr Depp’s penis,” joked the British bodyguard, causing Depp and others in the courtroom to burst out laughing.

Depp’s defense also accused Heard of falsifying photos to make the Justice believe that she was assaulted. To prove the accusation, lawyer Camille Vasquez hired a metadata specialist who presented a report indicating that Heard had increased the saturation of the images.

One of Heard’s most shocking accounts was the one describing Depp intimately searching her thinking she had hidden the cocaine from him. According to her, the actor would have ripped her dress and lingerie and used his fingers to look for the drug. “I just stood there, standing there,” said the crying actress.

The actress also reported numerous allegations of physical and sexual violence by the protagonist of “Pirates of the Caribbean”. The charges include being “hanged” with a shirt by her ex-husband on their honeymoon and assaulted on a plane after Depp accused her of having an affair with actor James Franco, 44.

Another striking accusation made by Heard was that her ex-husband raped her using a bottle of liquor, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Heard described how her ex-husband pinned her against the wall, ripped off her nightgown and began the abuse. “I’ve never been so scared in my life. I couldn’t breathe.”
