SpaceX successfully made its 10th test flight younger starship missile, reversing a trend of frustrating failures he had so far.
THE largest and most powerful rocket in the world launched from Texas shortly after 18:30 local time for a exciting 60 minute flight.
Parts of the engine appeared to explode and the rocket flaps on the side were set on fire and swinging from side to side.
NASA US Space Service plans to use Starship for to send people to the Moon for the ambitious Artemis program in 2027.
“Excellent work from the SpaceX team !!”, wrote SpaceX’s chief executive, Masculinein X.
This is a successful attempt after three failed starship launches this year and the explosion of a rocket on the June launch platform.
The starship is the largest and most powerful rocket made to date. It consists of a rocket called Super Heavy and Starship spaceship.
The signs were positive since the start of Tuesday’s trial flight. All 33 rocket engines operated and after about seven minutes, the rocket was detached from the spaceship and fell into the Gulf of Mexico.
The spaceship continued to rise, reaching a maximum height of almost 200 kilometers above the Earth before making a coastal rotation around the planet.
SpaceX said he intended to put pressure on the rocket to test his limits.
The company has designed Starship so that one day it is a fully reusable transport system capable of transporting people to the Moon and Mars.
But after three consecutive failures this year, questions have been raised about the future of SpaceX and whether Musk was devoting a lot of time to US policy.
