“Colleagues,
Yesterday I informed the board of my decision to resign from the position of CEO of ERT. The political leadership was informed in advance of my decision, in order to have a reasonable time for finding my replacement. I will stay in my position for the next few weeks for a smooth succession. Our work continues.
It is about a personal choicewhich coincides with the completion of the TV season and a cycle of creative effort and offering on public radio and television, under particularly difficult conditions.
I am proud of the important work we have achieved together in all areas: in the program, in information, in technology, in infrastructure, in the administrative structure, in extroversion, in communication, in the very culture of ERT. This is due to our vision for the formation of a public radio and television that every citizen of our country deserves and is entitled to. and which was realized through studied planning, teamwork, the excellent cooperation with the chairman and the members of the Board of Directors, the distinguished management team, our external collaborators and of course thanks to all of you ERT employees who with their hard work and your trust contributed to its implementation. Thank you all for your trust and support in our work.
I am very pleased with the opportunity I had to contribute to transformation and upgrading of ERT in a modern, digital broadcasting organization. It was a highly creative period with work and results that are now recognized by the public and which I will have the opportunity to evaluate.
Finally, I wish and hope that my contribution to the revitalization of ERT will be consolidated and continued with the same zeal.
