The Netflix -literally to five- adds a special content markup to its 4th season Stranger Thingswhich is available from yesterday worldwide.
The special marking comes on when the new Stranger Things season begins, but only to US subscriberswarning viewers about a violent scene involving children. it is about a preventive movement by Netflix in the aftermath of the Texas Massacrewhere 19 young children and two adults were killed by the fire of an 18-year-old gunman.
Typically, the warning added by Netflix states:
“We filmed this season of Stranger Things a year ago, but given the recent tragic shooting at a Texas school, viewers may find the opening scene of the first episode disturbing. “We are deeply saddened by this untold violence and our hearts go out to every family that mourns a loved one.”
A Netflix representative commented on this move saying:
“We decided to add this card given how close the premiere was to this untold tragedy and because the opening scene is very violent.”
What happens in the 4th cycle of the series:
It has been six months since Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and disaster in Hawkins. Stranger Things 4 will premiere in two parts with “Vol.1” (7 episodes) already available, while “Vol.2” (2 movie episodes) on July 1st.
