The tragedy caused by the rains that hit the metropolitan region of Recife (PE) mobilizes artists in search of help for residents who lost everything in the floods and landslides.
Among Pernambuco artists, the commotion is even greater. This is the case of comedian Fabiana Karla, who is from Recife. She urged people not to sit idly by and released a list of organizations that raise donations to help the homeless and other victims.
“Let’s join our forces to help my people from Pernambuco”, Fabiana asked on social media. “I’m very heartbroken.”
Actor Irandhir Santos, who plays the character José Lucas in the soap opera Pantanal (Globo), also shared ways to help his home state. He was born in Barreiros, a city located 102 km from Recife.
Pernambucano from Jaboatão de Guararapes, economist and former BBB Gil do Vigor spoke on social media about the difficult time in the metropolitan region of Recife and made several posts asking for help in donations or prayers.
Also from Pernambuco, MC Loma asked for donations of food, hygiene products and clothes for organizations that work to help the victims of the rains.
Artists from other states also appeal for solidarity. Singer Ivete, who has just turned 50 with a show in Juazeiro (BA), her hometown, reminded fans that Recife needs help right now. Also from Bahia, Daniela Mercury had the same attitude.
Juliette, the former BBB from Campina Grande (PB), recalled that dozens of people are suffering from the rains in Pernambuco and released the list of organizations that collect donations.
“Let’s stop talking about my quick fluff just for a subject that I just found out about”, asked the carioca Anitta. “There is a tragedy happening in the Northeast because of the rains. Let’s each one look for the best way to help. Now I’m going to do my part”.
Singer and former BBB, Linn da Quebrada, from São Paulo, released information about the tragedy, with information and a list of entities that receive donations.
