Actor and presenter André Marques, 42, announced this Monday morning (30) that he will leave Globo in August. In a long text published on his Instagram, the artist thanked him for his 27 years at the station and celebrated: “I’ll be my own boss!”.
Marques began the text remembering some of his works, such as the years he spent in “Malhação” and the command of programs such as Vídeo Show, Mais Você, The Voice, No Limite and É de Casa, a program that he will say goodbye to in 2 July.
“I grew up at Globo, made lifelong friendships, operated on my stomach, a big change in my life”. The artist goes on to say that he has lived a beautiful relationship with the network in the almost 30 years he has been with the company, and that now, after the “happy, faithful and loving marriage” he will leave for “an open relationship”.
He will leave the station in August, and says: “I’m still with my old dream. The time has come to put my projects and dreams into practice. I’m going to make my personal projects and my dreams come true… I’ve been saving for a long time! I’m going to cook for this Brazil and world, and taking you with me through the TV screen, cell phone, computer and in my heart, always!”, he added.
Marques also said that he still cannot tell more details about the projects, but that he is eager to share everything. Finally, the presenter stated that he intends to “take a vacation” before continuing with his career. “I am happy and I will be more and more, because making dreams come true is priceless”, he concluded.
