Singer Thiago Costa, 36, underwent new surgery on his right leg and received a blood transfusion this Tuesday (23), according to a statement released by the actor’s press office. The musician suffered a water accident in Belém, on November 11, and remains hospitalized with stable health.
According to Costa’s press office, he is aware and is under post-surgical observation at the Metropolitan Hospital of Urgency and Emergency in Ananindeua, Pará, but with no expected discharge. “The artist showed changes in laboratory tests and has been monitored by the medical team.”
On November 16, Costa underwent surgery on his arm and received a blood transfusion. The artist’s team requested blood donations to Hemopa (Hemotherapy and Hematology Center of Pará), which should be made to Thiago Costa da Silva.
Costa suffered a water accident in Belém, on November 11th. He was on a watercraft that was hit by a speedboat in the hole in the river Maguari. Another person, whose name was not disclosed, was also rescued by firefighters in the accident.
After the accident, the singer’s concerts in November were canceled. “We are grateful for the affection and understanding of everyone, we ask for prayers for the recovery of our Thiago Costa”, said the press office at the time.
