Ivy Faria, youngest daughter of former soccer player Romário, 56, announced on her social media that she is dating. The 17-year-old posted a photo with the new affair and said that they met during the production Expedition 21, which brings together people with Down syndrome.

“Expedition 21 was really an incredible experience and it even brought me a ‘gift’, which was Caio. I was asked to date. And did I accept? But of course I accepted. That’s it, we’re officially dating”, said the young woman, showing her boyfriend asking her on his knees.

Also according to Ivy’s account, her parents and brother approved of the relationship, but regretted that she and Caio Freitas, 19, live in different cities. “It’s a good thing we have the video flames to kill the longing,” she added, who lives in Rio de Janeiro. According to the young man’s profile, he lives in Votuporanga, in the interior of São Paulo.

He also declared himself to Ivy on his social media. “Thank you for appearing in my life and making me fall in love with you! Expedition 21 only brought good things, but without a doubt you were one of the best”, stated Caio on Instagram.

Ivy is one of 21 people selected to participate in Expedition 21, which brings together young people with Down syndrome in a residence for a few days, without parental supervision, learning in practice what it is like to have an independent life. This is the second edition, the first turned into a documentary.

Educator Alex Duarte, creator of the project, says on his social networks that this second edition will give rise to a documentary series, which will be made available in the future on some streaming platform. According to him, it is an immersion of empowerment and autonomy for adults with Down syndrome.
