“I’m a reality girl with great pride”. The phrase is from actress and singer Lucy Alves, 36, who delighted the audience by participating in The Voice Brasil (Globo) in 2013. Now, she says that she sees in the programs a great opportunity for new talents from the most diverse places in the country. .

“It’s a showcase, we’re at people’s homes every week. We get close to important people, with careers, who can help beyond visibility”, she says, remembering that The Voice didn’t just pave its way in music, but in acting. —she debuted as an actress in “Velho Chico” (2016).

For the artist, talent programs also help to reveal talents outside the South-Southeast axis. “Juliette, my countryman, is a woman I admire and represents a lot where we come from”, says the singer, also from Paraíba, referring to the winner of Big Brother Brasil 21 (Globo).

The two were together in the recording of the new DVD of Claudia Leitte, 41, at the end of May, which marks the beginning of the celebrations for her 20 years of career of the singer. “We are living representation through music. Each one with its sound, with its history”, completes Lucy Alves.

Lucy highlights that “it was about time” to bring more diversity to artistic productions. “As I’m an actress, I’ve seen many artists having to prune their accent, take courses on how to lose it for soap operas, even. That doesn’t happen anymore”, she adds, who also participated in The Masked Singer Brasil.
