Protagonist of “Under Pressure”, Marjorie Estiano, 40, has always been secretive about her personal life, but at least with regard to affective relationships, there is a novelty publicly confirmed, for good, by the other party involved.
“We are together and I don’t see any problem that people know about us. There are no rumors. It’s a fact and that’s it”, he told the F5 the thoracic surgeon and consultant for the series “Under Pressure”, Márcio Maranhão, 52, at the end of the production’s press conference, this Wednesday (1st).
Author of the book that originated the series, Maranhão endorses that the leading role in production continues to be the Unified Health System, the SUS. “Despite the bad structures, public hospitals are full of committed professionals just like the characters in ‘Under Pressure'”.
After four seasons on open TV, the series premiered this Thursday (2) on streaming and, for now, will be exclusive to Globoplay. The production should only air on Globo next year. The return of Evandro’s absent father (Júlio Andrade), Vera’s (Drica Moraes) addiction to alcohol and Carolina’s (Marjorie Estiano) discovery of breast cancer are among the topics covered throughout the 12 episodes.
“This season talks a lot about these characters’ relationships and the scars of these people. The scars are exposed”, points out Júlio Andrade. “The role reversal will be hard. But it’s that vulnerability thing that doctors also go through and suffer”, comments Marjorie Estiano, who was diagnosed with Covid-19 and is in isolation.
