THE Queen Elizabethaccording to British media, met her great-granddaughter for the first time Lilibetafter the prince Harry and Megan Markle had lunch with her in camera, as part of the celebrations for the Platinum Jubilee.
This is Little Lilibette’s first visit to the United Kingdomwho was born after Harry and Megan Markle left the Palace to settle in California.
The name Lilibetchosen by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, comes from the caress of Queen Elizabeth and was first used when she was a small child and could not pronounce her name correctly.
Harry and Megan are in London on Tuesday afternoon for the four-day celebrations marking the Queen’s 70th birthday.
The two seem to be keeping a low profile and their Netflix cameras did not appear to be following them anywhere, as was the case recently at the Invictus Games in the Netherlands.
Today the couple will attend the Thanksgiving Sequence, in the Cathedral of St. Paul. THE Prince Charles will formally represent the queen at the service, as the 96-year-old monarch felt “discomfort” during her presence on the first day of the events.
Absent from the eulogy will be Prince Andrew, who said he was diagnosed with a coronavirus, as well as Covid patient Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby. The service and the sermon will be taken in his place by the Bishop of York, Steven Katrel.
