The recording of the 10th season of “Vai que Cola” will begin at Multishow. Next week, mid-June, Catarina Abdalla, Marcus Majella, Cacau Protásio, Samantha Schmütz and Luis Lobianco will start filming the 40 episodes planned – and the expectation is that, in addition to making people laugh, the humorous show will show emotional moments.
Paulo Gustavo, who died in May last year from complications from Covid-19, will receive some tributes. He was the trickster Valdomiro Lacerda, one of the show’s central characters and the link between the nuclei.
“We are going to make several references to Paulo in the texts”, he anticipates to the F5 Luís Lobianco, 40, interpreter of the character Reginel. He avoids giving spoilers (“I can’t do that”), but he doesn’t hide it: the actor, who was a personal friend of most of the cast, will be remembered in some moments of the program – improvisation has always been one of his hallmarks.
Missing and sadness aside, Luís, who has been on TV for ten years, celebrates the good phase the market has been going through in the post-pandemic. “Streaming arrived with everything here in Brazil and that’s great”, he says. He regrets, however, the scenario of little public investment in culture.
Lobianco says he does not understand how opinion makers can remain politically exempt in this current conjuncture. “It is strange for an artist not to take a stand in the face of all this. Art and culture are two of the sectors most attacked and vilified by the current government”, he says.
