Jessie J Says She Suffered Miscarriage: ‘Loneliest Feeling in the World’

by

Singer Jessie J, 33, who decided to have a child alone, revealed this Wednesday (24) that she suffered a miscarriage. Thrilled, she posted an Instagram post saying she had taken her third exam and said “there was no more heartbeat”.

Jessie J said that on Tuesday (23) morning she was laughing with a friend saying how she was going to do a show in Los Angeles this Wednesday without telling the whole audience that she was pregnant.

“Yesterday afternoon, I was scared to think about getting through the show without breaking down. After doing my third scan and hearing there was no more heartbeat,” the singer wrote next to a photo holding a pregnancy test.

She said she is no longer in control of her emotions and that she may regret the publication. “What I do know is that I want to sing tonight. Not because I’m avoiding the pain or the process, but because I know singing tonight will help me.”

The artist claims that she played two shows in two years and needs to perform this Wednesday. Jessie says that some people might say she should just cancel, but it’s clear she wants to.

“I started singing when I was young for joy, to fill my soul and self love therapy, it has never changed and I have to process it my way.”

The singer stated that she wants to be honest and truthful and not hide what she is feeling right now. “I know myself and I know I would talk about it on stage because I’m like that. So instead of a tearful emotional rant trying to explain my energy. That feels safer.”

Jessie J also said that she decided to have the child alone because it’s everything she’s ever wanted and “life is short”. According to her, getting pregnant was a miracle, an experience she will never forget and know that she will have it again. “I’m still in shock, the sadness is overwhelming. But I know I’m strong and I know I’ll be fine.”

The singer ended the message saying that she knows that millions of women around the world have felt “this pain and much worse”. She stated that she feels connected to the women who have gone through this loss.

“It’s the loneliest feeling in the world. So see you tonight in LA [Los Angeles]. I can tell fewer jokes, but my heart will be there.”
