Luciana Gimenez cries after exposing her father’s inheritance: ‘It hurts a lot’

Presenter Luciana Gimenez, 52, shared a video crying on Instagram stories, on Wednesday night (8), after journalist Léo Dias, from Metrópoles, published an article informing that her father, João Alberto Morad, who died in 2020, he left R$ 2 million of inheritance to a woman unknown to the family. To Gimenez, he left R$399,000, a car, a club title and 50% in a company partnership.

Gimenez hid in RedeTV’s bathroom! to record the video questioning the importance of the father’s death and inheritance for the media. Sought by the report, the presenter’s advice said that she will not comment on the case. But a close person told the F5 that she was in love with her father and was so shaken that she almost couldn’t present the SuperPop Show.

“Some journalists do this kind of thing, use other people’s disgrace to give a rating. What does my father’s death matter to people? There’s no kind of respect, to call to ask, to say nothing”, he said crying in the video.

The presenter said that just because she’s famous doesn’t mean she doesn’t have feelings. ‘When a person is famous, it seems that he loses all freedom to be himself. Normal things that people go through, of suffering, everyone is laughing, commenting, and it hurts, it hurts a lot.”

An only child, the presenter said that her father had an inventory money and the right to leave it to whoever he wanted. She stated that she doesn’t need anyone’s money because she honestly works to earn for her livelihood. “I never got money from anyone. I kept one thing from my father: love, respect and education.”

After the presenter’s outburst on social media, the journalist wrote an open letter to her saying that the inheritance left by her father does not have any value judgment on the decision. Dias said that the process did not take place in court secrecy and any citizen could have access to the information.

This Thursday (9), she shared on Instagram photos with her father and a handwritten letter written by him talking about life, and that she learned by making mistakes. In the caption of the publication, Gimenez thanked him for everything she learned and said that there is no perfect family, but it is sacred to those who respect it.

“Dad, your letter remains very current and truer than ever. Thank you for being such a caring and present father. Thank you for teaching me to be the person I am. Today more than ever, before saying anything about someone I stop and I think about the consequences those words can have on the other”, wrote the presenter.
