Dwayne Johnson presents fan with custom pick-up: ‘Merry Christmas!’

by

Actor Dwayne Johnson, 49, surprised a fan with his custom pick-up truck as a Christmas gift. The “Red Alert” star (Netflix) shared a video of the moment he delivered the gift to Navy veterinarian Oscar Rodriguez.

“Today was a good day,” wrote The Rock in the publication’s caption. “Merry Christmas Oscar Rodriguez and enjoy your new ‘truck’. I invited fans to a special screening of ‘Red Alert’ at the theater and I wanted to do something cool for all of them,” he continued.

“All free and fun at the movies! I also wanted to do something big…something huge…something unforgettable for a fan,” continued in the caption. He explains that the initial idea was to give away the Porsche Taycan, which he drives in the movie “Red Alert”.

“So we looked for the Porsche, but they said no. But I still said, ‘yes, I’m going to make a better one. I’m going to give you my personalized truck as a gift.’ My baby,” concluded the artist. He delivered the gift after a special guest screening of the film.

The actor says that by gathering information about everyone who was in the special session, he was touched by Rodriguez’s story. “He takes care of his 75-year-old mother. He’s a personal trainer. Leadership in his church. Offers support to women victims of domestic violence. Proud navy veteran,” he wrote.

“A good human being. Oscar said well, right before he left the car, ‘It’s just love.’ That’s it, brother. Just love,” he added. “Go enjoy your new pick-up, man, and Merry Christmas to you and your family!”, ended the text.

In the video, The Rock hands Rodriguez a card, explaining that the car is now his, and then the navy veteran starts crying and then hugs the actor. In announcing the gift, the artist also said: “Your story touched me because I knew you are a personal trainer, you are always motivated and optimistic”.

The end of the record shows Johnson playing a joke and saying that “it was an honor to give a little happiness to someone who deserves so much more than my car. And now I need to figure out how to get home from losing my car.”
