Regarding her famous article in the Washington Post from 2018, which was one of the central points in her legal dispute with Johnny Depp, Amber Heard explained that “The open letter had nothing to do with my relationship with Johnny . It had to do with me and lending my voice to a bigger cultural debate going on at the time. “It was important for me not to do it for him or to do anything that would slander him.”
