Known for work on series such as “Riverdale” and “Supernatural”, actor Ryan Grantham, 24, killed his own mother in 2020 and could be sentenced to life in prison. However, the website of the local TV channel CBC News revealed that he also had plans to assassinate the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, the day after the crime.

This thought of his was revealed along with the case that is being tried in the Canadian city of Courtenay by prosecutors. After shooting his mother in the back of the head while her back was to him playing the piano, the actor took cash, bought marijuana, made some Molotov cocktail explosives and went to watch Netflix.

So he decided to cover his mother’s body with a sheet and went to sleep. At dawn, she placed candles around the corpse and drove off with the intention of killing Trudeau. He carried weapons, ammunition, the explosives and a map of where the politician lived.

But halfway through, he gave up and went straight to a police station to confess that he had taken his mother’s life. Before, however, he considered carrying out a massacre at Vancouver’s Lions Gate Bridge or at Simon Fraser University, where he was a student.

The body of the woman, named Barbara Waite, 64, was found by her daughter the next day. Lisa Grantham went to the house after not having her messages and calls answered. “How can I trust anyone when my only brother chose to execute my mother when she turned her back,” she told the court.
