Digital influencer Maria Lina Deggan, 23, is being sued for owing more than BRL 6,000 to Fundação Universidade Regional de Blumenau (FURB), the college where she is enrolled in the civil engineering course.
The process runs in the 1st Court of Finance of the Santa Catarina Court of Justice, and the value of the case already exceeds R$ 13 thousand. Maria Lina had enrolled at the educational institution in July 2017, but only started attending classes in 2018, failing to pay tuition from August to December of the previous year.
According to the process, the F5 had access, the influencer had committed to pay the debt in 2017, in the amount of R$ 4,388, which would be divided into three installments. With the default, the updated balance is now R$ 6,700.
Recently, she was traveling to Egypt with her ex-fiancé, comedian Whindersson Nunes, 27. At the time, the influencer vented after being filmed with Maria Lina. The video circulated on social media against the will of the ex-couple, who said that the moment would be an intimate trip for the two, in the month that marks one year since the death of their son, João Miguel, who was born prematurely.
“One year we lost our baby on the 31st. Two adult people try to heal their pain as they feel better… We thought: ‘why not get to know a place and culture that we’ve never seen up close? the longing that we will never be able to undo'”, Whindersson said on his Twitter.
