Justice authorized the 18-year-old trans daughter of billionaire Elon Musk, 50, to change her name and gender, officially making her Vivian Jenna Wilson, this Thursday (23). She also managed to remove her famous father’s last name, opting for Wilson, which is her mother Justine’s maiden name.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge approved the petition and asked that a new birth certificate be issued by the state to reflect the changes. The request had been made by the young woman shortly after turning 18.
On Tuesday (21), TMZ revealed that the young trans woman was given the name Xavier Musk at birth, but had asked to change her first and last name. A screenshot shared on Twitter Know Nothing TV shows legal documents filed in April in Los Angeles County (USA) with a petition to change a name.
In the request made to the Court, the young woman states that the reason for the name change is that she wants to be recognized as a woman and no longer wants to have her name related to her biological father in any way.
In December 2020, Elon tweeted his support for the transgender community, but added, “All these pronouns are an aesthetic nightmare.”
Musk has seven children: Griffin, Vivian, Kai, Saxon, Damian, who he had with Canadian writer Justine Wilson, who were married from 2000 to 2008, and X AE A-XI and Exa Dark Sideræl, who he shares with singer Grimes.
