In total, 28 million Italians will go on holiday this year. 20% abroad, and 80% within national borders. In terms of the various regions of the country, first in the tourist choices is Puglia, with Bari as its capital, followed by Sicily, Tuscany, Sardinia and Calabria.
According to forecasts, the tourist movement, in total, in Italy this year is going to reach the level of 2019 and there are, in fact, several chances for even more positive data to emerge. 73% of the citizens who will go on vacation in July have already made the relevant reservation, while for August the relative percentage is at 65%.
