It all happened in April 2012 when the entire village suffered an incredible landslide which moved almost the entire village for about 40 meters, while spreading terror among its inhabitants.

As the former residents of the village have argued in the past, the rainwater was not diverted to a nearby stream, and as a result, combined with the groundwater, led to an incredible subsidence of the soil and the 300 families living there in disorderly abandonment.

In addition, many of the houses that existed in the village collapsed, while the subsidence continues, making the area look haunted and ruined.

The landmark of the village is the round church of Panagia tis Theotokou. The largest part of the temple remains imposing, but its image as it leans on the slope, makes the sight unusual and impressive.
