Lindsay Lohan, 36, wed in an intimate ceremony to Credit Suisse bank executive in Dubai, Bader Shammas, 35, just hours before his birthday on Saturday (2). A rep for the actress confirmed to Page Six that she is married.
Lohan sparked rumors that she had gotten married on Friday night (1st) after posting a photo on Instagram with Shammas saying she is the luckiest woman in the world.
“You found me and knew I wanted to find happiness and charm all at the same time. I’m shocked that this is my husband. My life and my everything. Every woman should feel this way every day,” wrote Lohan.
Lohan met the Kuwaiti-born financier while living in Dubai. He proposed in November last year with a huge diamond ring by Harry Winston.
According to the website Page Six, the actress’ engagement ring is a Harry Winston jewel with a stone that has approximately six carats. Rare Carat COO Apeksha Kothari spoke to the page and gave more information about the accessory.
“With high color and clarity, I would estimate the retail value at a quarter of a million dollars — $250,000,” said Kothari, a diamond market expert. At the current price, the ring would be valued at around R$1.3 million.
The actress’ father, Michael Lohan, told Page Six that Shammas is not a Hollywood type. “You don’t see any pictures of them in the press. That was one of Lindsay’s problems, the paparazzi invading her and making up stories. It was hard. But she’s with a guy who doesn’t like the spotlight.”
