Bruce Willis wanted and continued to work after being diagnosed with aphasia

It was something the actor himself wanted, said famous Hollywood lawyer Martin Singer

On the occasion of allegations that the director of “Midnight in the Switchgrass” and a close associate of the American actor Bruce Willis, Randall Emmett (Randall Emmett) pressured the actor to work despite his health problems, the famous Hollywood lawyer Martin Singer told Los Angeles Times: “My client (Bruce Willis) continued to work after his medical diagnosis because he wanted to work and was able to do so, just like many others who have been diagnosed with the same disease and continue to work.”

He adds: “Mr. Willis’ involvement in these films brought in sponsors resulting in thousands of people being employed, many during the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Willis starred alongside Megan Fox in ‘Midnight in the Switchgrass’ as an FBI agent, while he completed five more films with Emmett before announcing his retirement. In total they have collaborated through the director’s production company on over 25 films.

The “Pulp Fiction” star’s family announced in March that he was “retiring” after he was diagnosed with aphasia, a language disorder caused by brain damage that affects a person’s ability to communicate.

“This is a really difficult time for our family and we are so grateful for your continued love, compassion and support,” they added. “We’re going into this as a strong team and we wanted to share that with his fans because we know how much he means to you, just like you mean to him. As Bruce always says, ‘Glenda’ and together we intend to do just that.”

A source close to the actor told PEOPLE that “everyone is with him” following the diagnosis. “Bruce is well-loved and everyone in Hollywood supports him and stands by him. He is one of the most beloved movie stars,” the source added.
