This is a recently released Polish series that combines family conflicts with LGBTQ issues

In “Queen”, we meet Sylwester as a retired tailor in Paris
He himself in his youth, wanting to follow this career, decided to leave Poland and follow his dream in Paris. There he managed to make a great career, become very famous and live a comfortable life.

However, leaving Poland, he left behind a wife and a young daughter. Today, Sylwester, in addition to being a tailor, is also an awesome drag queen. This “hidden” identity of his was yet another reason for him to decide to leave Poland behind.

However, one day he receives a letter from his granddaughter, who informs him that his daughter is very sick and will need a transplant. Sylwester may be the only donor who can save his daughter. Although he is quite hesitant at first, he eventually decides to return to Poland.

There his granddaughter is waiting for him with great joy, but the same is not true for his daughter. His return, however, remains an attempt at atonement and reconciliation with a family he has practically never met and to whom he is afraid to reveal his true identity.

An attempt to introduce drag performance in a provincial town in Poland

With the help of his granddaughter, Sylwester embarks on a quest to save the small town and bring about social change. This endeavor involves himself as Loretta, his drag identity, and the rest of the village facing this condition for the first time. As you understand, “Queen” in just 4 episodes will manage to make you laugh many times, but mostly to be moved.
