She herself has been in a TV series since the ’70s, which makes her return to the small screen even more noticeable. Her co-star will be Kali Reis
The iconic series True Detective returns to our screens, three years after the season with Oscar winner Mahershala Ali. This time Jodie Foster stars in a new crime story.
More specifically, season 4 will have the title Night Country and the filming will start immediately in Iceland. Jodie Foster will have the leading role, in a theme that she owns well. Let’s remember Clarice in The Silence of the Lambs, who raises the bar quite a bit for our beloved Foster.
However, the series itself has set the bar high, having starred high-profile actors such as Matthew McConaughey, Woody Harrelson, Colin Farrell and others.
So Foster’s participation doesn’t surprise us either. The truth is, we’ve really missed Foster and can’t wait to see her. She herself has been in a TV series since the ’70s, which makes her return to the small screen even more noticeable.
Also, famous names return to the series, but not as protagonists but behind the cameras. McConaughey and Harrelson are producing along with Foster, while the well-known Mexican Issa Lopez is writing and directing.
Foster’s co-star will be Kali Reiswho plays Jodie’s detective and partner Enangeline Navaro.
The plot
The fourth season is about the disappearance of six men from a research station in Alaska.
More specifically, in the darkness that falls in Alaska, six men disappear without a trace from the Tsalal Arctic Research Station. Detectives Liz Danvers (Foster) and Evangeline Navaro are called to investigate the case.
Through a dark path, the two women will try to unearth the buried secrets, under the deep ice, but also to keep their own secrets. It is a dark path to the light, in the frozen landscape of Alaska.
The series promises drama, but also intense emotions, which will captivate the audience and maybe lead it to the Emmys.
Its release is expected to start towards the end of 2023. So, be patient.
