Succession, Ted Lasso, White Lotus, Euphoria, Ozark and Only Murders in the Building are among television productions with the most Emmy Award nominations, announced by the American Television Academy.

Family drama Succession leads with a total of 25 nominations, but football comedy Ted Lasso and paradise resort miniseries White Lotus trail narrowly with 20 each.

Former US President Barack Obama is also nominated for narrating the documentary ‘Our National Parks’.

At age 25, Zendaya is making history as the youngest two-time Emmy nominee, actress and youngest producer nominee for her work on the series ‘Euphoria’.

Additionally, with two original music and lyrics nominations for “Elliot’s Song” and “I’m Tired” from the series, Zendaya is now the first black woman to receive nominations for both acting and songwriting in the same year .

Her co-star Sydney Sweeney is nominated for Best Supporting Actress in both the Comedy and Drama categories for her performances in Euphoria and White Lotus.

Quinta Branson is now the first black artist to earn three Emmy nominations for Best Comedy, Best Actress in a Comedy and Best Writing for a Comedy Series for ‘Abbott Elementary’. Branson, 32, is also the youngest actress to be nominated for an Emmy for Lead Actor in a Comedy.

The nominations were announced in an online event by Tz. B. Smoove and Melissa Fumero yesterday in Los Angeles.

“It’s been another great year of television with an abundance of outstanding programming and shows,” said American Television Academy President and CEO Frank Serma.

The winners of this year’s Emmy Awards will be announced on September 12.
