Ben Affleck, 49, won the seal of approval from Jennifer Lopez’s 52-year-old mother Guadalupe “Lupe” Rodríguez. During a roundtable at The View on Monday (18), presenter Sunny Hostin said that she talked to the singer’s mother about her daughter’s relationship with the actor.
Lupe told Hostin that she always knew the couple would get back together because “Ben is her daughter’s true love.” According to the presenter, the singer’s mother also said that the singer adopted the actor’s last name because she is sure they will live happily ever after.
Lopez and Affleck were married in a secret ceremony last Saturday (16), in Clark County, Nevada, USA. The information was confirmed by the American websites TMZ and Page Six, which managed to obtain a marriage registration in the name of the two stars.
On Sunday (17), Lopez spoke for the first time about her marriage to Affeck. She posted a photo on her official Instagram account in which she appears lying on a bed and showing a ring in the hand in which she holds her cell phone.

The couple “Bennifer”, as he was nicknamed by fans, resumed their relationship in 2021 and announced their engagement in April this year. Jennifer and Affleck dated and got engaged 20 years ago, but called off the wedding and announced the end of the relationship in 2004.
After the relationship ended, Jennifer and Ben went their separate ways. Lopez married singer Marc Anthony, with whom she had twins Emme and Max.
