If you’re looking for a new way to add a little extra interest to your wall and you’re also a big fan of music, consider framing a vinyl record cover.
And while you certainly think of classic album covers there are some new releases that are just as interesting, musically and artistically in terms of cover design.
Taylor Swift – Folklore
The queen of dreamy lyricism, the music of Folklore. The ultimate collection of ballads created to take you on a journey guided by romance and nostalgia. Taylor Swift described the album as “a collection of songs and stories that flowed like a stream of consciousness,” and we’re honored to enter that world with her.
The album cover shows Taylor walking through a desolate forest, surrounded by tall trees, echoing the feelings of isolation that many of us experienced during the height of the pandemic.
Harry Styles – Harry’s House
Arguably the hottest record of the year, Harry’s House from friend, Harry Styles is a 13-track release of great vibes ONLY (aside from Matilda, we’re crying). The nostalgic album cover shows Harry in a living room setting, minimally furnished with an orange couch, a yellow table lamp, a vase of flowers and the arched doorway that has since become synonymous with the album’s campaign. Perfect for Sunday morning listening, this album is one for those who love 70s nostalgia.
Lorde – Solar Power
“For those who don’t know, it’s my butt down there,” New Zealand singer-songwriter Lorde told Stephen Colbert on The Late Show last year – “It’s a little hard, but it’s been so happy for me. It felt innocent and playful and a little bit wild and sexy,” the 25-year-old star said when describing the cover art for her latest psychedelic pop and indie-folk album, Solar Power.
Haim – Women in Music
If you haven’t already imagined yourself being adopted as the fourth Haim sister, then you’re doing something wrong. Their 2020 release of their third album Women in Music is arguably their best yet, garnering widespread critical acclaim for its genre-bending experimentation and vulnerable lyricism. The album cover was photographed at Canter’s Deli, a Jewish delicatessen in Los Angeles.
