Britney Spears, 40, revealed that she walked into a bar for the first time on Thursday (28). She shared a video on Instagram stories sitting at the bar drinking a cocktail with her assistant Victoria Asher.
“This is my first time in a bar. First time. I feel so chic and so sophisticated,” Spears, who wore big sunglasses and her choker, told the camera. Victoria added when Spears turned the camera on her, “We’re having a drink.”
The singer sarcastically captioned the videos. “Good thing they took away my rights for 13 years [tutela do pai] to have a cocktail. I am very grateful to all of you.”
Over the years, Spears’ team and family have been adamant about keeping the singer away from alcohol. In 2018, Page Six reported that her team had banned alcohol consumption backstage while she was on tour. A clause in her guardianship also said she couldn’t drink.
A month ago, Spears claimed in a now-deleted Instagram post that her father Jamie Spears and brother Bryan Spears had her take several drug tests a week. She also said that she was not allowed to consume alcohol in the four years she lived in Las Vegas.
