How to complete the “stress cycle” and how this will eventually calm you down

by

The “cycle of stress” is a process, by completing it you will find the calm and peace you need

Stress is in our lives on a daily, perhaps even permanent basis. And unfortunately, you can’t avoid that, unless you’re a zen type or a yoga guru.

Beyond that, there are thousands of ways to get rid of it. However, sometimes it is necessary to let stress run its course.

Let’s say it’s something like a virus, which has to go through its cycle to “extinguish”. Something similar happens with stress. And this happens, because stress often becomes one with you. There is a whole interaction, mental and physical, that takes place inside you when you are stressed.

More specifically, when you are stressed, your body reacts. Automatically, it produces cortisol and adrenaline and the sympathetic nervous system is activated. And that’s how it helps you cope with this difficult moment.

But even when the stress subsides, your body is already stressed. And if you are also a person who is highly stressed, then it is very likely that you will experience symptoms because of this. For example, you are very likely to have an elevated heart rate, feeling tired, restless and anxious.

But this is a normal process. It’s your body’s reaction and that’s the cycle of stress. But when, in your daily life, you skip this part, i.e. you don’t let the stress dissipate naturally, then you break the cycle.

The result is that since it is not released, it is not completed, the stress remains, lurks and your body cannot reboot. And then you try to manage it in backup ways, which again, however, cover it up.

Essentially, you are left with a permanent stress, which feeds back and suffocates you, even more often and even more intensely.

The way

However, there is a way, or rather ways, to let stress run its course.

#1 Breathing
With the right breaths, you send a message to the brain, to the parasympathetic nervous system, that everything is fine. You somehow turn off the “alarm” and relax.

Long and deep exhalations, calm inhalations, will make you feel better. Of course there are other breathing methods, such as yoga breathing, that with a little practice will help you calm down.

#2 Movement
Movement is a key technique, because with it you eliminate cortisol, while at the same time you release endorphins in your body. So on the one hand, you decompress and on the other you push.

#3 Discussion
When you’re stressed or upset or generally stressed, the best medicine is to share. Shared sorrow, half sorrow they say and we completely agree.

And just that you externalize it is very important, because you essentially weaken the cause of stress, you neutralize it.

And if you still feel like you’re a cheetah and under stress, then ask for a hug from your loved one and stay there for a while. It’s the best anti-stress, it’s the best medicine for everything.
