One will be able to “dive” through virtual reality and live a unique experience with the wrecks
Global interest has been generated by the three new underwater museums in the Pagasitic Gulf on the island of Kikynthos, at Akrotirii Glaros and at Akrotiri Telegrafos, which include eight impressive shipwrecks and were inaugurated today by the Minister of Culture, Lina Mendoni, and the Regional Governor of Thessaly, Costas Agorastos, in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Mr. Maria Zacharakis.
As he did at the respective openings of the underwater museums in the Sporades, Mr. Agorastos dived and cut the ribbon underwater!
Equally impressive is the fact that someone will be able to “dive” through virtual reality and live a unique experience with the wrecks!
In her greeting, the Minister of Culture, Mrs. Lina Mendoni, emphasized that “one of the axes of the ministry’s strategic plan is to highlight and give local communities their comparative advantages. One of them is the cultural wealth which is a social good.”
See what the Minister of Culture said:
“Three very important pieces of a world cultural heritage are attributed to the public“, emphasized, among others, the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Ms. Sofia Zaharakis.
