A new strike by US forces against a ship suspected of transporting drugs in the eastern Pacific, US Secretary of Defense (War) Pete Hegseth announced today.

According to Hegseth, the attack, which took place in international waters, resulted in the killing of 4 people, suspected of drug smuggling, “narco-terrorists”, as he characteristically calls them, in his post on X.

Pete Hegseth’s post in detail:

Earlier today, at the behest of President Trump, the Department of War conducted a lethal kinetic strike against yet another drug-trafficking vessel operated by a Designated Terrorist Organization (DTO) in the Eastern Pacific. This vessel, like all others known to our services to be involved in illegal drug smuggling, was traversing a known drug trafficking route and carrying drugs.

Four male narco-terrorists were on board – and killed – during the raid, which took place in international waters.

No US forces were injured in this raid.

The Western Hemisphere is no longer a safe haven for narco-terrorists who bring drugs to our shores to poison Americans. The War Department will continue to hunt them down and eliminate them wherever they operate.

62 dead

Washington has announced fifteen strikes against vessels allegedly carrying drugs in the Caribbean and Pacific since September, killing at least 62.

Experts have expressed doubts about the legality of strikes in international and foreign territorial waters against suspects who have not been arrested or questioned.
