Donald Trump is accused of burying first wife Ivana Trump on a golf course in New Jersey to take advantage of the state’s cemetery tax breaks, according to the Daily Mail.

Dartmouth sociology professor, Brooke Harringtonwho describes herself as a tax researcher, tweeted: “I was wary of the rumors that Trump buried his ex-wife in that sad little dirt lot on his golf course in Bedminster, just for tax breaks. So I checked the New York tax code, and my friends… it’s a triple whammy of tax avoidance: Property tax, income tax, and sales tax, all eliminated“, she wrote herself.

Plots in New Jersey intended for cemetery use are not subject to property, income or sales tax. THE Ivana she was buried in a plot near the first golf course after her funeral in Manhattan on July 20. The former model from the Czech Republic was found dead at her home on July 14 after falling down the stairs.

The full Taxation and Cemeteries Act reads as follows: “Cemeteries and burial grounds used or intended to be used for the interment of the bodies of the dead or their ashes and not exceeding ten acres of land, and cemeteries and buildings for the use of a cemetery erected thereon, and all mausoleums, vaults, crypts or structures intended for the safekeeping of the bodies of the dead or their ashes and exclusively dedicated or maintained for that purpose shall be exempt from taxation under this chapter».
