The song is included on Beyonce’s highly-anticipated seventh solo album, which is expected to top the charts this week after its release in late July.

THE Beyonce is going to replace a phrase from her song lyrics from her new album Renaissancefollowing criticism from charities and campaigners.

The song Heatedwhich was written by Drake and other songwriters, includes in its lyrics a word that is considered a pejorative for the condition spastic cerebral palsy, a condition that affects sufferers’ muscle coordination, twice near the end of the song.

The song is included on Beyonce’s highly-anticipated seventh solo album, which is expected to top the charts this week after its release in late July.

Following the backlash, the word is now set to be replaced, with a spokesperson for the artist telling Sky News there was no intention to offend anyone.

Specifically, the song’s lyrics refer to a phrase that, while used colloquially in the United States with a similar meaning to that of “freaking out” or “going crazy,” the term in this case comes from the word “spastic,” which is used medically to describe the convulsions that one may experience from a condition such as cerebral palsy.

The term is often used in a derogatory way to describe people with disabilities, especially cerebral palsy.

The criticism of Beyonce came just weeks after Lizzo said she would release a new version of her song GRRRLS following complaints about her use of the same term.

Lizzo acknowledged that the word was “offensive” and said she never wishes to promote derogatory language in her lyrics.
