During an interview Monday, the 76-year-old was asked if he was proud of Elon’s accomplishments. Errol replied, “No. You know, we’re a family that’s been doing a lot of things for a long time, it’s not like we suddenly started doing something.”
The 76-year-old admitted that Elon has achieved quite a lot compared to his brothers.
“They’ve seen a lot and we’ve done a lot together,” Errol said of his family. “But Elon has actually really crossed the line.”
Continuing to talk about his son, he said Elon Musk feels “off schedule” in terms of where he wants his various companies to be and “isn’t as happy as he’d like to be.”
“He’s frustrated with the progress and understandably so,” Errol said. “I know it sounds crazy, but we tend to think that way as a family. He is 50 now, and I still think of him as a little boy. But he’s 50, I mean he’s old.”
Compared to Elon, Errol said during the interview that his other son, Kimball Musk, it is the… “pride and joy” of his life. Kimball is a restaurateur and chef with an estimated fortune of $700 million, though Errol claimed that Kimball was also a billionaire, Business Insider reported.
