The area affected in July (around 132,720 hectares) corresponds to approximately 60% of the total burned areas of our country from January 1, 2022 (approximately 215,000 acres).
In detail, in July (1st to 31st) the fires burned approx 40,000 acres in Dadia Evros, 27,800 acres in Penteli, 24,500 acres in Lesbos, 20,020 acres in Melampes of Crete, 12,150 acres in Itea and 8,250 acres in Portes Peloponnese.
