Anitta, 29, used social media to counter a fake news that circulated in groups of messaging apps. The singer was alerted by a fan, who tagged her in a publication that showed the alleged news with a photo of her in the hospital – taken when she had an operation for endometriosis – and with the phrase “you don’t play with God”.
“I don’t care”, countered the funkeira. “Having HIV is not cursing. If I’m going to sue every single fake news that’s been invented for me since I took a political position, I’m going to end up with my money just paying a lawyer.”
“I’ll only spend it when it’s something relevant,” she said. “There was also a video of oral sex that they edited putting my face on… I only took the trouble to open it because I wanted to see if they were at least doing cool… so whoever believes it’s me is at least ‘me’ seeing rocking the performance.”
More seriously, the singer also recalled that, according to the Ministry of Health, about 920,000 Brazilians are living with HIV. “In other words… almost 1 million people are not considered good people for these people”, she lamented. “Well… at least these nearly 1 million already know who not to vote for.”
In July, Anitta declared her support for former President Lula (PT) in the October elections. “I’m not a PT member and I never have been. But this year I’m with Lula and anyone who wants my help to make him rock here on the internet, TikTok, Twitter, Instagram just ask me that being within my reach and not being against electoral law I will do it” , announced at the time.
