Jane Fonda is sorry. The actress, activist and fitness pioneer – remember her wearing leg warmers working out and smiling in video lessons in the 1980s? “I stopped because I don’t want to look deformed,” she said in an interview with American Vogue.

At 84 years old, Fonda, contrary to what happened in previous interviews, spoke openly about the subject. If, in 2017, she gave TV presenter Megyn Kelly a goof when he wanted to know details of her facial plastic surgery (“It seemed to me that it was not the time or place to ask such a question”, she explained later), this time she opened the game.

“We all know rich women, a lot of them, who’ve had all kinds of facelifts and things like that and they look awful,” Fonda said. “So I had a facelift and I stopped. I don’t want to look deformed and I’m not proud of having had one. [cirurgia plástica]”.

In 2020, Fonda told Canadian Elle that doing new interventions was totally out of her plans. “I won’t cut myself anymore,” she assured her. The actress of “Grace and Frankie” says that her secret to being well is simple: for some time now she has adopted a routine of natural and non-invasive beauty. “I stay hydrated, I sleep, I move, I stay out of the sun and I have good friends who make me laugh.”
