A volcano has erupted on a mountain near Iceland’s capital, Reykjavik, which also erupted last year, the Icelandic Meteorological Agency said on Wednesday.

The Reykjanes Peninsula is a volcanic and seismic hot spot southwest of ReykjavÃk. In March last year, fountains of lava erupted spectacularly from a fissure 500-750 meters long.
