Netflix announces premiere date for the Spanish series with Bruno Gagliasso

Netflix announced this Wednesday (3) the premiere date of the Spanish series “Santo”, which has Bruno Gagliasso, 40, in the cast: September 16. The Brazilian actor plays Cardona, a police officer who is looking for a drug dealer and needs to get along with his companion Millán, played by the Spaniard Raúl Arévalo, to solve the case.

The plot, which mixes crime, action and intrigue, tells the story of Santo, one of the most wanted criminals in the world, whose face has never been seen. Recorded between Spain and Brazil last year, the fictional series was created by Spanish Carlos López and is directed by Brazilian Vicente Amorim.

According to Netflix, Gagliasso lived in Madrid, Spain between April and October 2021 for the filming of the series. Afterwards, the production went on to record in Salvador, capital of Bahia. “My work on ‘Santo’ it was visceral. Without a doubt, the most intense preparation of my entire career,” Gagliasso said in a statement released by streaming.

Recently, Gaglisso and his wife Giovanna Ewbank went through a racism case against their children Titi and Bless at the Clássico Beach Club restaurant, in Costa da Caparica, Portugal, last Saturday (30).

In a statement, the couple’s press office reported that a white woman, who was at the restaurant, cursed Titi and Bless and about 15 people from an Angolan family. “The criminal asked them to leave the restaurant and return to Africa, among other absurdities uttered to children as ‘filthy blacks'”, says the note.
