Ben Affleck, 49, who battled the paparazzi during his first relationship with Jennifer Lopez, 53, is not enjoying being chased on their honeymoon in Paris. A source told Page Six that he was a little freaked out by the number of photographers and likened it to an almost Princess Diana level – she died in a car accident fleeing the paparazzi.
Affleck’s irritation with photographers is not for less. He became a joke on social media after being photographed in unfavorable situations, including sleeping with his mouth open while on a boat ride with Lopez, smoking a cigarette with his eyes closed and balancing iced coffees.
In 2002, the couple faced unprecedented media attention. They even had to postpone their first planned wedding in 2003 after they were forced to go so far as to consider having “decoy brides” on their big day.
In a statement released the day before the original nuptials, they said: “Due to the excessive media attention surrounding our wedding, we have decided to postpone the date.” They never set a new date and separated in 2004. The wedding took place in July of this year after they resumed their relationship.
