Former Lava Jato defender Marcelo Serrado meets with Lula and declares support

by

Protagonist of the soap opera “Cara e Coragem” (Globo), actor Marcelo Serrado met, this Monday morning (15), with Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. Serrado posed for photos next to him, allowing his dissemination on social networks.

The actor – who publicly supported the Lava Jato operation – says he has put himself at the disposal of Lula’s candidacy, who, according to him, is opposed to “a very dark side”. Without mentioning the name of President Jair Bolsonaro, Serrado says that supporting the government “does not match the word artist”.

“I can’t talk about the artists who haven’t changed their minds. But the artist supporting at a time like this something that is against us, that is against health, against science, against the Indians, against love, doesn’t make much sense” , said the actor.

Finishing off: “Right now, in my opinion, it doesn’t match the word artist. It’s my opinion and I’m sure I’m right”.

Elector of Marina Silva in the 2014 elections, the actor recalled having participated in the Vira Voto movement, in support of Fernando Haddad, four years later.

Regarding Lava Jato, he said he believed that the operation “started with a good start”. But in some cases, especially with Lula, it was “a movement in a passionate way, a directed thing.” “Who doesn’t see that… really, I can’t say anything. It’s sectarian, isn’t it? There the hole is further down.”

He lamented the moment the artistic class faces. “I came for this too, we have never been so massified as an artist. It has never been so execrated, we, our class. Nobody gets rich with Rouanet Law, there is no such thing. These are fallacies they invented against the people who work with it, that live on it”.

Serrado describes the meeting with the PT as “nice”. “Lula is in love, he’s happy. He’s going to embrace the whole of Brazil. I think it’s very important at this moment for everyone to get together”.

When answering if he is a repentant lavajatista, he stated: “I consider myself a citizen who has changed his mind. If someone with my thinking has changed his mind, I am happy to have been an agent in all this”.
