Language: Messinia’s “hidden” sandy beach – Watch video

The forest that reaches to the edges of the beach creates a unique setting.

One of the well-hidden beaches of Greece that you must visit is the beach Language her Messinia. Not many know it, although it is located in the shadow of the famous Vidokoilia beach in Messinia.

The beach is located near the village of Petrochori and was named so because of its tongue-like shape, while from a small opening the sea water enters it, forming a natural pool. The rocks that surround it and go deep into the sea, form a small narrow mouth, which barely allows the water to enter. The waters in the small cove are clear and the beach is sandy.

The forest that reaches to the edges of the beach creates a unique setting. It is a quiet spot that usually attracts nudists, while for at least 16 years, it was home to the famous “Fotaras”, a native of Asia Minor, Byroniotis, who lived in a makeshift hut at least half the year. Glossa beach is suitable for people who want to spend a calm and relaxed holiday.
