The Sun newspaper published photos of the 58-year-old politician and outgoing prime minister on an unknown – even to the residents themselves – beach in an isolated bay in the south of Evia near Karystos, playfully calling him “Beach Body Bojo”.
“Locals – amazed at how Johnson’s team found the deserted spot near a village – said the Prime Minister looked ‘relaxed’ as he read a book while two-year-old son Wilf rowed,” the British newspaper comments.
As one resident characteristically mentioned: “I have no idea how Boris found this beach – even the locals who have lived here for years don’t know her and his team were the only people there.”
“It’s a lovely place but there was no shade in the 34C heat so he wouldn’t have been able to stay there for long with his children. They left as the sun fell on two vehicles parked on the dirt road leading to the beach,” he added.
