Oscar-winning actress submitted photos of bruises on her hand and elbow as part of investigation of the FBI about the incident that led to the end of their tumultuous marriage.
As Page Six reported, according to the FBI report, Jolie told investigators that Pitt, who had been drinking, screamed at her in a toilet on their flight back from France to the US.
She claimed that Pitt “grabbed her by the head”, “grabbed her by the shoulders”, shook her, pushed her against the bathroom wall and shouted: “For… this family”. Two of their young children “were outside the door crying and asking, ‘Are you okay mom?'” the actress claimed.
Pitt reportedly yelled in response, “No, mom’s not okay. It’s destroying this family. She’s crazy,” the federal report said.
According to Jolie, this comment was made by one of their children (allegedly Maddox) to retort, “It’s not her, it’s you, you bum,” which she said angered Pete. The actress then claimed she saw him running towards one of the children “like he was going to attack”, so she said that his he did a headlockwith Pete trying to escape, backing up forcefully and pushing her into chairs behind them.
The actress claimed to have suffered injuries to her back and elbow from the fight.
Black-and-white photocopies of the photos are included in the report, as well as handwritten letters provided by Jolie, reportedly written by her children themselves, containing descriptions of the incident. The manuscript pages are mostly censored.
Jolie also said that Pitt continued to drink during the trip, later spilling beer on her.
After they arrived in Los Angeles, the actress said the couple held hands again, with Pitt stopping her and the kids from walking away for 20 minutes.
In addition to her back and elbow, the report said Jolie said she suffered another injury to her left arm. A photo of the wound is included in the report. Jolie admits that a scratch on Pitt could have been caused by her.
It is noted that Pitt was not arrested or charged in the incident, with the FBI closing down the survey in November 2016.
