Érika Januza defends policy in the school curriculum and comments on the vote: ‘We will have change’

“I can say that we are going to have change.” This is how Érika Januza, 37, responds when asked about her vote in the October elections. The actress says that she doesn’t usually talk about politics because of the current polarization of the country, but defends that it is a “necessary” subject, which needs to be “discussed, talked about”.

“Politics is our future, the future of each one of us and it has to be discussed, yes, but with respect. I think politics had to be a subject at school. The child had to grow up with that basis. An open debate listening and talking, which sometimes we don’t have. This is the worst part of politics, but it is extremely necessary”.

The actress, who is currently in the second season of “Archangel Renegade” (Globoplay), which premieres next Thursday (25), says she takes a stand when she feels comfortable. “I’m not a person who sees others talking so I have to talk, but I think [política] has to be discussed,” he told the F5 this Saturday (20) during the Festa do Peão de Barretos, in the interior of São Paulo.

Januza also talked a bit about her return to the “Renegade Archangel” series as Sarah. The widow of a PM, worried about her brother who is also a police officer, now decides to honor the blood of the family and joins the GIT (Tactical Intervention Group) of the Military Police of Rio, now showing the difficulties and challenges of women in the corporation.

The actress says that the character maintains the essence she had in the first season, but now she will show another kind of strength. For that, Januza had to go up to a favela and shoot “for real”, something she had never done before. The big challenge, however, was keeping her breath as she loaded her rifle up the steep terrain of Rocinha.

“I got to know a universe I didn’t know, I entered places where almost no one enters. ‘Arcanjo’ brings a truth, shows the environment where everything really happens. There were real police officers, drug dealers, ex-convicts, José Junior [criador da série] brings a lot of truth to his works, and it was no different in ‘Arcanjo’. I was leaving [das gravações] reflective.”

“[Mudou] my way of seeing the police profession, I could see what it’s like to be on the other side”, he continues. “The places I accessed, completely difficult, made me think about the reality of our country. I would go away telling people, not what I went through shooting and such, but what I saw, which marked me a lot. Unforgettable for me what I experienced up there in Rocinha.”

The third season of “Archangel Renegade” is already written and should start shooting next year. In addition, the actress will also be in the series “The Magic of Aruna”, by Disney, also scheduled for 2023. But before that, fans will be able to follow her in “Verdades Secretas 2” (Globoplay), which arrives at Globo on the 30th. “There’s a lot”, jokes the actress.
